This was basically just like the Republican debate assignment except for one thing. The security was the tightest I've seen in a long time.

South Carolina Republican Debates
Last week we were on assignment at the South Carolina Republican primary debate.
Shooting an event like this is more difficult than shooting any other type event because of the security measures and the quick pace of live national television. Access to the venue before the event is very limited if at all so you have to be really quick with dialing in your settings before you start shooting. No time for meter readings in this environment and flash is usually a "no go". A fast lens (aperture wise) is a must and vibration reduction is a godsend when there is no room or time for a tripod.
Next week we'll be covering the Democratic primary debates held at the Palace Theater.

16 Candles
The studio will be featured in an upcoming episode of MTV's "My Super Sweet 16". After the show airs we'll post more photos as well as shoot and edit/retouch info. We will also post a clip from the show!
