Pageant season has begun!
The race to be crowned as the next Miss USA, Miss America or Miss United States has begun.
Pageant photography has become on of our specialties since we started catering to contestants about 4 years ago.
I know what it sounds like ... and its not what your thinking.
Before I started shooting for the Miss Universe Organization I had the same mental image. Some five year old forced to act way beyond her years, wearing way to much makeup and sporting a Bride of Chucky wide-eyed demonic smile.
This is not the case AT ALL. It's more like shooting fashion or at least that's the approach we take and it's worked well for us.
In the pageant world it's all about standing out. One way for the girls to achieve this is by having head shots that jump off the page. For my fellow photographers out there I plan on blogging about how to make your images pop and really stand out. It's a lot easier than you think.
